I discovered Vedic Meditation while working as a Chemistry teacher at the University. I loved teaching but I often felt tired and anxious. Sleep was a challenge. Repeating thought patterns filled my head with useless chatter. I suffered from the effects of perfectionism and tried to be everything to everybody.

After I learned Vedic Meditation, things began to change. Deep-seated stresses began to unwind. I reacted less and took action more. I was calmer and more poised. I was able to relax. My creativity increased. I discovered deep recesses of ability I never knew I had. I felt like my life had more time and space: more time to laugh and play. And as my practice grew, my capacity continued to expand.

Vedic meditation allows us to tap into our natural ability to reestablish equilibrium, find our baseline. It increases resilience and adaptability. As I continued to meditate I found I was operating from a new baseline and this new baseline allowed me to find more happiness, joy and stability in my life.

Eventually I joined my teacher Thom Knoles at his highly selective residential training program for teachers where I became a Vedic Meditation teacher. I am so happy to have the chance to introduce others to a technique that has improved my life and outlook and brought me so much peace.
