Rounding
Rounding has been described as ‘industrial strength meditation’. Rounding leads to deeper rest during meditation and greater release of stress from the physiology. It is specifically designed to buffer and facilitate the removal of stress allowing it to be released in a sustainable and comfortable way. This leads to deeper and more meaningful meditation experiences. I personally can say that learning to round had a major impact on my own experience of meditation.
In a retreat setting, with a certified teacher, it is possible to do multiple rounds in a day which leads to exponential changes in the experience of your meditation and an unprecedented release of stored stress. Many people recount amazing meditation experiences and personal breakthroughs at rounding retreats. The first rounding retreat I ever went to significantly changed and improved my relationship to my meditation practice.
This workshop is a great way to get started enjoying the benefits of rounding by adding it your practice - even if you just round once a week, I think you will notice the difference in your meditation. A round can replace your morning and/or evening meditation at home.
I hope to soon begin offering rounding retreats or monthly rounding get togethers for us all to enjoy.

WHAT
Rounding is a powerful yet simple advanced technique that's designed to purify the mind and body at the deepest level.
Rounding consists of a sequence of three parts:
1) Asana - a sequence of gentle yoga postures
2) Pranayama - yogic breathwork
3) Vedic meditation - 20 minute meditation
Performing the proper poses in a specific sequence with intention, allows deep-rooted stresses to be released and brings the nervous system back into balance.
WHY
Rounding leads to deep restorative rest that removes stress and allows us to connect to our blissful state of being. A rounding meditation is much deeper, because of the asana and pranayama practiced before hand deexcites the nervous system and prepares the mind for a deep dive meditation. This allows deeper rest and a faster rate of dissolution of stress. It can bring you to a greater state of happiness, clarity and peace more quickly than standard meditation.
Performing a Round in place of your standard meditation, either morning or afternoon, is an efficient and enjoyable way to let go of more stress and prepare the body and mind to experience more bliss.
